My design work is centered around creating unique solutions to your circumstances while maintaining beauty, function, and an ecological connection to the greater world. I start by defining the program, tailoring the design to the site, and creating elegant designs that are very functional and will allow you to accomplish your objectives on the site.
I offer two branches of landscape design services. I will work directly with you to tailor a design package that is perfect for your needs.
Design for Inspiration.
This is for people who want inspiration to change their landscape, offering ideas, guidance, and direction. Changes in the landscape are gradually done over time, and it is perfect for people who like to DIY, or who are not yet ready to commit to large landscape construction projects. These designs might not account for all the challenges that occur during development, but offer a starting point to get going. Services can include:
- Basic landscape design
- Rough conceptual exploration of design options
- Precedent images
- Vertical views including sections, elevations
- 3D visualizations and models of the design
- Additional resources for landscape success
Design for Inspiration is available remotely wherever you are and in person in Utah & Salt Lake counties.
Design for Construction.
These are for people ready to hire a landscaper or undertake installation, and commercial projects. The work in the landscape is expected to happen soon. Design work is more detailed to ensure proper installation. Services can include:
- Planting plans
- Site analysis
- Plant lists and other resources
- Drawings for landscape construction
- Grading concepts
- Construction details
- Site visits to monitor construction work
Design for Construction is only available for Utah & Salt Lake counties.
